Located 15 minutes from the medieval city of Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi, in an area designated NATURA 2000 for the quality of its environment, the Domaine de Calvayrac is an ideal holiday location for exploring the Cathar castles, the medieval villages, the abbeys, and the traditional gastronomy of the region.
The Domaine de Calvayrac is in the heart of the Cathar Country, in an luminous and preserved region (the Malepere) where quiet hills share their slopes between vines, pastures and forests of green oaks. At the 13th century, this region belonged to the dominican monks of the chapter of Montroyal.
In the west wing of the house are our three charming guest rooms, in a quiet and resting environment. Each room has a separate entrance and a private bathroom.
The evening, after a day spent to exploring the thousand
treasures of the Cathar country, you can relax in thegarden with an aperitif, before to shareconviviality and traditional gastronomy to the“Table d'hôtes”.
